Robots That Vacuum and MopRobots that clean and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning dry debris and wet mess in one session without the need to switch devices. They can also save space compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot should be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacle avoidance. Look for models that can automatically empty their bins and fill up their water tank and machine-wash their mopping pads with a dedicated dock.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has plenty to offer for its low cost, and it's among the easiest robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking is simple, and the quick-start guide gets you running in no time with an entire dust bag, water tank, and a hard floor solution.
The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that is able to clean up a storm and vacuums well too. The mops spin at a high speed and utilize 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to quickly get rid of pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a selection of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app that lets you choose the type of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.
For instance, you could decide to let the robot clean up the living and kitchen but go easy on the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It can detect small obstacles that other models can't. The only drawback is that the robot tends to crash into objects and walls at full speed. However, a quick look at the cleaning history on the app will tell you exactly what the robot accomplished, where it's moving, and what obstacles it has stumbled upon or avoided.
A large LCD screen on the docking station shows the maintenance tasks that need to be done, such as emptying the debris tray, and cleaning the dirty water tank. It's also capable of mixing detergent automatically into the water tank by using a 600ml bottle filled with Eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum come with a long-running time. The mop is able to run for 184 mins in Quiet Mode, and the
automatic vacuum and mop can last for 136 minutes in standard mode, before needing recharging or returning to the base. You can also view the complete cleaning details within the app, which is intuitively laid out and easy to understand although we would have liked to be able to differentiate between a mop only vacuum and a
automatic vacuum cleaner and mop/mop clean when examining a cleaned area in the history of cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's top
robot vacuum cleaner uk mop and vacuum. The model this year has two agitators built into its mopping pad. This enhances the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an enhanced suction power which allows it to pick up smaller hairs and other particles other robotic cleaners could miss.
As with the two other Roborock models I've tested the S8 Pro Ultra has a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology that help it avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and includes two cameras that can recognize objects, determining whether they're walls or other surfaces. It can then change its direction in a way that is
automatic vacuum and mop robot and clean around them without missing a step.
It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed but it's also the most feature-packed. Its sleek, angular design is attractive and it only has three physical buttons: the power button, that also resumes cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock and a home button to send the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml dustbin as well as a 200ml of water tank. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin fills up automatically.
The only negative I discovered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pad mount is not removable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if it's required), it's a pain to take off the mount itself for manual washing. I've observed that any soft carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and that can cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of clever features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can configure and manage these via the Roborock app, which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings, monitor the battery life and maintain your components. But you'll need to jump through a few hoops in order to enable voice control with this model, which is a shame considering the performance of this model.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop that has outstanding suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and innovative features. Its innovative design allows for customized and efficient cleaning while also saving time.

The robot can also reach under low-profile furnishings, making it an excellent option for apartments with small spaces or condos. The side brush also automatically lowers itself when it spots wet spots, which is a nice feature that assists the X40 keep floors safe from damage caused by excessive back-and-forth movements.
Unlike some other robots that only focus on one task, the X40 is capable of performing mopping and vacuuming simultaneously or in a series. It can be programmed to only mop the hard floors, and skip carpeted areas or reverse the process. It can be controlled via the Dreame app or by using Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for a seamless voice-controlled operation.
The app is simple to use and intuitive The X40 is equipped with many clever features that are simple to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at certain times. It can also be adjusted to adjust suction power, change modes, view floor plans and maps and control mopping settings. The X40 will also monitor its progress, and alert you when it is finished.
The X40 is easy to maintain and has many convenient features that make it a great choice for busy families. The docking station can automatically empty the dustbin and wash mop pads before refilling them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It also can detect if the mop pad is at its maximum capacity and notify you of the situation before it spills.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available on the market. It has a number of characteristics that make it stand out. The mops are equipped with a new feature called Smart DuoScrub that makes use of two mops with high-speed motors to clean floors more thoroughly than the standard method, and it comes with the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also remove pet hair, dirt particles and pick up spills and soiled spots.
The mop is cleaned and dried at the base station every time they are used. This is a great feature because it prevents the build-up of odours and mould in the storage area, and it also makes the mop system more efficient. This is an option we haven't seen in other robot vacuum and mop models. It could be a great method to keep your home clean longer.
There's a plethora of settings on offer, including the ability to schedule cleaning and adjust a variety of preferences. The app lets you define these preferences, or you can use the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and has many options for customizing your cleaning routine. It also offers many features that aren't offered on other robots, like the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects any dust particles.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a metallic-white-white finish that looks sophisticated and classy. It's a bit heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots in this list - at around 4kg but it's not too heavy, and feels robust and well built. Mopping is well-designed and the double-rotating mop is great for hard floors or in corners. They can also extend to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice touch.
